About Me

Hello, I'm Victoria de la Parra López.

Since the beginning of my journey as a dancer and dance teacher, I have come to appreciate the profound impact that the body and movement have on the healing process.

It was during this time that I decided to train in the method of body cognitive integration, under the guidance of neurobiologist Carmen Cordero. This method provided me with a clear understanding of the intricate connection between the mind, body, and emotions, which further fueled my desire to expand my knowledge. This led me to Brecha, one of the most renowned Dance Movement Therapy training centers in Latin America, founded by Diana Fishman. Here, I had the privilege of learning from exceptional therapists from around the world and completing 540 hours of training.

Continuing my journey as a dance movement therapist, I made the decision to pursue a Master's degree at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, under the guidance of Heidrun Panhofer. Additionally, I had the honor of publishing my first article in the American Journal of Dance Therapy, marking a significant milestone in my career.

I am always dedicated to continuous learning, currently pursuing the Expressive Arts Therapy, Trauma, and Embodiment online program at the Poiesis Institute. I am also an active participant in the Latin American DMT Network LATINX, where I can connect with fellow professionals and enrich my practice. Furthermore, I am privileged to serve as a supervising member of the Chilean DMT Association.

I am committed to offering the best of myself as a therapist and continually exploring the diverse possibilities that the body and movement provide in the field of psychotherapy. Each day, my passion for this work grows stronger, and I feel a profound gratitude for the opportunity to accompany individuals in their journey of healing and personal growth."
